More fun on Great Guana Cay

Local farmers markets abound – and this Saturday it will be at Orchid Marina.    A short walk along the shore connects Fisher Bay to xx bay and Orchid Marina.

Mingle amongst the various tables to see local crafts, jams and breads, produce and art.

We motored to Hope Town for the off chance of finding an open mooring ball- no luck.  Next option – we cruised south a few more miles to anchor at Tahiti Beach.    At low tide the waters recede and a large sand bar is exposed- great for shelling and wading in shallow water.     Got a lesson in conch shelling- how to identify a mature conch by the size and the shape of the shell.

Forecast is calling for a strong North wind in the next few days, so our next stop will be in a protected anchorage area.
