day 2 Day off on Beaver Island MI.

Windy day in the harbor, so we will work on projects and relax as we have allowed plenty of time to get to our destination.   One item on our list is  to launch the dinghy and give it a try when the wind dies down.

Checking Equipment

Dave found a few leaks in the engine compartment- and is starting a list of things to tear apart next time in port. He Checks the engine oil every morning.

We walked to the point to see the light house.  There is a moving memorial to the folks who have lost their lives on the Great Lakes.  Too many repeats of the same family name;  then when walking through town , we noticed the same last names on store fronts, buildings and streets.    Lots of family history on the island. boating (68)
